Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sensory room learning is a project that is geared towards students on the autism spectrum in grades kindergarten to second grade. My goal for this project to be able to provide my up coming class of students an area full of sensory learning and exploration. This will be a place where students can use their senses to explore the world around them.
Students will have the opportunity to explore through sight, touch, movement, and sound while strengthening overall brain development.
The sensory room activities will help students develop fine motor skills, and help students feel more focused and ready to learn.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
