Help me give my students a doorway sensory swing set, peapod sensory chair, bean bag chairs, and more for access to sensory materials to help with emotional regulation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Forsberg's classroom raised $711

My Project
Hi! My name is Cam Forsberg, and I am a special education resource room teacher. We are losing access to a sensory room this coming school year, and I am hoping to help provide some of our most vulnerable students with an outlet for their fine and gross motor sensory needs. This would impact all students with disabilities in our building, K-6. Students with and without IEPs can benefit from having a sensory room.
Sensory rooms can help improve focus when it is lost in the classroom setting, reduce stress and anxiety, and assist in emotional regulation.
The goal for this room is to provide a safe and controlled environment with items such as sensory swings, chairs, and floor tiles, where students can explore and engage in their sensory needs, which is helpful for students with Autism, ADHD, and other sensory processing differences.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
