Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will help furnish two of our special education classrooms with sensory retreats where they can go to destress when overstimulated, and be comfortable when learning and practicing social skills development. Additionally, the laminator and storage bins will help us keep our student's individual visual cues and monitoring charts separate for easy access. They are color coded so that they can better find their materials. Currently, our rooms are bare with heavy florescent lighting, these materials will help us provide our students with autism, emotional disturbance, and more with the safe space they need to encourage their learning and life skill development.
