This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students range from K-2nd grade. I am an occupational therapist and my students have various diagnoses ranging from Autism, ADHD, ADD, developmental, speech impairment, and physical disabilities. The school I am currently in does not have a Sensory Space specifically to meet these students' needs. I would like to create a Sensory space in my room to assist these students with self-regulation in order to participate along with peers within the classroom environment. Some of my students would also benefit from quick communication devices to make their needs known. Thank you
