Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I have a set of fidget tools available for any student to use to help them focus throughout the class. They are there for them to squeeze, bend, and manipulate so that they can have sensory input or output as needed.

These tools help my students stay in a classroom setting when they are feeling strong emotions or are having a bad day.

Inevitably, these tools also get lost or broken. I encourage students to identify their own emotional needs and advocate for the tools they need in the moment. The materials in this project are common choices in my classroom: stress balls for something soft to squeeze, flexible fidgets to move around, expo markers to doodle on desks in a way that's easy to clean. Please support to re-stock my supply of these resources.
