Sensory Play

My Project

Many of my students have Autism and they have various sensory needs. They are sensory seekers and I’m always looking for activities and materials that will satisfy those needs. By meeting their sensory needs, I am able to reduce their behavioral issues.

I also have students with down syndrome and getting the dolls that look like them is something I think is important.

The dolls will also provide opportunities for them to practice buttoning, snapping and zipping the clothing.

The students will also enjoy the books. The books will not only introduce them to letters, colors and animals, but a sensory experience as they touch the various pictures.
