This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sensory development grows stronger through play. My sensory table is a favorite among my students for the endless possibilities of fun. My students enjoy practicing fine motor skills, sorting and classifying objects, communication skills, and sensory development. All of these materials will be used in my Science Play Center where students can explore different textures, colors, and shapes while using different tools like magnifying glasses, tweezers, and cups.
My students need to build their fine motor skills through sensory play and exploration.
My goals for this project is to give my students options to develop their fine motor skills. Things like colorful pom-poms to sort, rocks to stack and count, and shapes to explore will allow my students to use their fine motor skills through play and exploration.
