My Project

Our classroom is seeking a sand table and a variety of sensory materials to create a rich, hands-on learning environment that supports all aspects of student development. Sensory play is a powerful tool that nurtures cognitive growth, physical coordination, and social-emotional well-being.

Through activities like scooping, pouring, and molding, students engage in exploration and problem-solving while building fine and gross motor skills.

It also supports language development as children describe their experiences and collaborate with peers.

For our exceptional children, these materials will be especially beneficial during occupational therapy (OT) push-in sessions, helping them strengthen fine motor skills in a fun, inclusive, and therapeutic way. Sensory play also offers a creative outlet for self-expression and emotional regulation, making it a vital component of a supportive and engaging classroom.
