Help me give my students a variety of sensory table materials. The sensory table will support child led learning. It will also encourage development of motor skills, scientific thinking, and support language development.

My Project
Sensory play is so important in early childhood development. These sensory materials will be used to create fun and engaging hands-on play which will be available each day during center time.
With these materials we will be able to create 20 unique sensory tables (two for each month).
The theme for each table will be tied to the literature selection for the week or the current season. Some example of sensory tables experiences that will be created are: "Apples", "Five Little Pumpkins", "Hot Chocolate", "Construction", "The Mitten", "Birds", and "Recycling".
During the month of October, students will listen to the story, "Ten Red Apples" by Pat Hutchins. While listening to the story, students will count along using their own paper apples to promote counting and number recognition. During center time, the "Apples" sensory materials will be available. This sensory table with promote the use of their fine motor skills as they pick up red, yellow, and green pom-poms (apples) while matching them to the coordinating apple trees. Students will be encouraged to reenact the story.
