My Project

Students are eager to learn however, are struggling with attending to teacher directed activities that requires them to sit during whole group instruction. Many of my students need a fidget or distraction that allows them to remain in the activity and participate. Sensory needs of many students can be addressed with minimal distraction to others. The materials such as a sensory ball, fidget or other item that a student can hold helps decrease anxiety, is calming, and offers input that allows them to attend to tasks longer and remain engaged in many activities. This increased involvement improves student's overall performance.
