My Students
In our kindergarten classrooms in Eastlake, Ohio, our kiddos are lucky enough to be in a wonderful building where collaborative learning is something we do daily. The open spaces and state-of-the-art classrooms lend themselves to creating life-long learners.
What I love most about my students is their excitement and love for learning.
They see the joy in every day at school. Our school may be big, but it is also close-knit; like a family, and we want to make sure our students continue to love, enjoy and find excitement in every school day.
Although our school provides excellent opportunities for all students, There are some things that we do not have at our fingertips. I want to make sure my kindergartners have everything and more for an amazing first year of school.
My Project
I am asking for many items that may just seem like simple arts and crafts materials, but to a kindergarten teacher - they are so much more! Each item I have asked for can be used to help my little ones learn through touch.
Play dough, finger paint, and shaving cream can all be used to work on letter and number writing, while working on fine motor and other sensory skills - and let's not forget - having fun!
Kinetic sand and sand tools will fill our (empty) sensory tables and allow students to work on their fine motor skills while socializing with their classmates.
