This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Meeting our sensory needs in our classroom is highly important! I always have a basket full of sensory toys and fidgets available for our students. However my supply is dwindling and my students are in need. My classroom was not equipped with an appropriate amount of toys/objects to help meet the sensory needs of these students.
With these new sensory toys my students will be able to engage in sensory play, which will support their language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction.
It will also help them to them to relax, focus and calm down to the many stimulating things that happen through their day at school.
