This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These items will be used to create a sensory diet for the students that have an Individual Educational Plan in or extensive support needs classroom.

Students in our classroom require a sensory diet once they arrive to school.

These items will be used in their individual sensory diet plan that will be carried out each beginning of the school day. Students with extensive support needs may need a sensory diet to help them manage their sensory processing differences and respond appropriately to their senses. A sensory diet can help students understand how their experiences differ from typical responses and provide them with strategies to manage their sensory needs. This can help them overcome experiences of distress or agitation and maintain their ability to engage in meaningful activities.
