My Project
My students love to attend learning time but sometimes they just need that extra sensory input to help them stay regulated. Sometimes they need to spin and those chairs give them the means to spin and regulate themselves. I have a bean bag in my room and it is constantly fought over. Some kids really like to rock but a safe rocking chair is hard to find. The rocking chair gives them all of regulation for those seeking that kind of stimulation. Each of the children have their own preferred kind of stimulation. Rocking, spinning crashing (bean bag) having multiple options gives them the choices they need.
