My Project
My K-5 Autism Classroom has many diverse needs and is constantly a room of action. My students are receiving functional skill education and social skill education as a priority. My students love movement, flexible seating, and are easily distractable (and need partitions to stay on task with their work!) We love to have fun in my classroom and having access to additional materials can help serve my students and their needs better!
Our crew is easily distracted and could benefit greatly from having partitions during work times to eliminate distractions and other stimuli.
Additionally, having choices of the furniture they use and how the furniture can enhance their sensory input/output and learning experiences is key for them to be available to learn and have autonomy over their day!
I also have a few friends who love brush rubbing and vibration, and these materials can help regulate my students in times of dysregulation and heightened emotions. Help a first year teacher provide for her students!
