Sensory Fun for Purposeful Play

Help me give my students a sensory table and colored rice to give them endless opportunities to engage in purposeful play!

My Project

I have seventeen of the sweetest, most loving, compassionate, clever, and super-playful five and six-year-olds. 78% of students qualify for free or reduced breakfast and lunch, and 41% of my students are ELL (English Language Learners).

Play is vital in Kindergarten, and the addition of a sensory table and colored rice will provide students with endless opportunities for purposeful play in the classroom.

My Kindergarteners learn best through hands-on activities and lessons when they are actively engaged in their learning and provided with a wide variety of materials and resources.

My students are little readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists! When they are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on play and learning experiences, their unique personalities shine through and their self-esteem soars like never before!

Having a sensory table and colored rice will provide students with endless possibilities during play and make learning FUN for all!
