This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year I will continue as a special education teacher in a high need, developmental delay and autism spectrum disorder classroom. As I work on this exciting journey, I’m committed to creating a space that’s not just functional, but truly supportive of each student’s unique strengths and needs.

These essential resources will help foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where all students can thrive.

Starting from scratch can be both thrilling and overwhelming, especially in a specialized setting like this.

My goal is to build a classroom filled with adapted and accessible learning materials, and sensory friendly tools that promote regulation, engagement, and comfort (play doh, markers, sand, art trays, puzzles, magnetic toys). That’s why I’m reaching out for support whether it’s through donations, shared resources, or encouragement. Any support you could give me makes a world of difference in helping my students feel seen, safe, and successful. With your help, we can build a classroom that empowers children with autism and others developmental delays to grow, connect, and shine. Thank you for being part of this journey!
