My students need COLOR! The HP Officejet printer will allow me to make all their flash cards and daily schedules with real life pictures that are full of color.
I am honored to work with the most amazing students. I teach individuals with autism. They are bright, inquisitive, caring, fun-loving kids that need specific items to aide in their learning process.
Each student has different strengths and weaknesses and I am determined to have everything they need to grow and progress.
Children with autism need items to help with sensory processing. Their environment impacts their day and their ability to function.
The majority of my students receive all their academic, social/behavioral, and functional lessons in my small group setting. Some are reading close to grade level, while others are non-verbal. It is very difficult to teach my students on their level without the necessary tools.
My Project
We're moving!!! My classroom is moving to a different school and we are in need of some items to help us acclimate to our new surroundings. Children with autism relate better to real life pictures with color. The color printer will allow me to print their daily schedules, flash cards, and pictures of our new school. The extra ink cartridges will last the majority of the year.
Children with autism need different types of visual stimulation.
The oil and sand timers, glitter wand, and perpetual motion balls will help stimulate each student, allowing them to remain calm, focused, and ready to learn.
Who wants to sit on hard, cold tiles? Not us! The colorful mats will make circle time and the book nook much more comfortable. Then we'll be able to have some amazing conversations using our new cards.
