Sensory for Second Grade!

My students need sensory objects to be able to use during classroom instruction to help stay focused. They also need pencils and a sharpener to complete classwork.

My Students

My students are in a full time ICT second grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.

All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.

My diverse second graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants.

All of my students are eager to learn with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.

Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects, and strive to do their best All in all, they are a group of awesome kids!

My Project

My students need sensory objects to help them stay focused and engaged in classroom discussion and classwork. Many of them have difficulty staying focused due to impulsivity and the need to move around. Having these objects will help them stay focused on the work at hand. Having the option to pick their sensory objects will also motivate them in the classroom. They also need pencils and a sharpener to be able to complete their work without any problems. Having all of these supplies would be beneficial to the classrooms instructional time. This will ensure their success in the classroom and help them become better students.
