This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our special education classroom thrives on hands-on, sensory-based learning. To help our students build early literacy, motor, and social skills, we’re requesting a collection of tools that support their unique learning needs. The Lakeshore Learn the Alphabet! Dough Mats and Play-Doh Tool Set will enhance letter recognition and fine motor coordination through creative play. The Sensory Play Tent will provide a calming space for students managing overstimulation, anxiety, or sensory processing challenges. With VELCRO dots, sorting houses, and a bulk arts and crafts kit, we’ll have engaging materials to create custom visual supports and activities that foster independence and imaginative play.

These resources are crucial in helping our students regulate, focus, and grow—thank you for helping make our classroom a safe, sensory-friendly space to learn.
