My Project

The sensory items I am requesting, such as the Shake & Soothe Sensory Tubes, Tilt & Turn Liquid Sensory Windows, and See-Inside Sensory Blocks, will benefit my students by being able to stay focused, learn, and regulate themselves during classroom activities. I teach an inclusive program in which the population in my classroom consists of typical peers and higher-needs students. Going into my second year of teaching this program, my goal is to create an environment that will have a calming atmosphere where my students thrive by providing a variety of sensory tools. This environment will provide and foster improved focus, reduce anxiety, enhance learning, develop social skills, manage classroom behaviors, and help my students stay in the present moment.
