My Students

I have four amazing, bright students in a grades 4-5 self contained ABA classroom (Special Education). Academically my students range from Kindergarten-Second Grade level. My students are funny and sassy and learning to express their needs daily whether verbally or via a communication device. They require a lot of reinforcement to help them stay motivated to learn and reduce self-injurious and aggressive behaviors. We spend a lot of the time working on individualized programs to learn foundational skills and social skills. We also incorporate many group activities to make learning fun!

My Project

The students in my ABA Special Education classroom are highly reinforced with sensory items. I would love to be able to provide them with a sensory center in the classroom that they can use throughout the day, in between completing their academic and behavioral programs or just for a much-needed sensory break! Each item I selected was done so with a specific student in mind. My students' interests vary from solving puzzles, art projects, sensory items, and calming activities. My students, paraprofessionals, and I appreciate any support you could provide.
