The students in my classroom this year are sweet, young, loving kids. They range from the ages of 3-5. The students enjoy our free choice centers within the classroom. The students enjoy when we bring out and rotate new centers. To see them smile helps brighten my day. Every day is a new adventure with our class.
Sensory breaks are key for students with Autism.
Sensory breaks allow the students' bodies and brains to take a break, then when we regroup, the students will be more focused.
My Project
The items will make a difference in our students' learning by allowing them to not only get the sensory breaks that they need, but also help them learn at the same time. The items in the shopping cart will allow the students to learn shapes, colors, letters, etc., while at the same time enjoying the lights and sounds on the items.
The students enjoy items that light up and make noise.
The students in the classroom get over stimulated and need sensory breaks, which these items would be used for. The laminator sheets will be used for file folder games to help the students learn during work job times.
