Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With the items requested, we will be able to offer the Sensory Bottle craft to students who earn participation in our SOAR Day activities (through demonstration of behaviors that are: Safe, Observant, Accountable, and Respectful). This is a highly sought after activity among students from Pre-K to 5th grade. It's not only super fun but also serves as a tool for emotional regulation. We have had huge success with similar projects in the past. :)

Additionally, I have requested items for a prize box that can help students who struggle with behavioral expectations and/or attendance "buy in" to provided support and earn rewards for progress toward individualized goals.

This not only encouraged students to engage with their peers and school community in safe, respectful ways but also lends to a caring, supportive school environment - which has been shown to have a positive impact on perceptions of school climate and students' emotional and academic outcomes.
