This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will allow students with emotional regulation and/or sensory needs to create their very own sensory bottles for use in their classroom. We need empty bottles, sparkling crystal, and more supplies for sensory bottles for emotional regulation and sensory support. Not only will this allow students the agency to design their own sensory tool, it will also be a great hands-on crafting activity for them to enjoy.
By providing students with sensory tools and supports (such as calming corners) that they are able to access and use independently, we intend to foster emotional regulation skills, coping skills, independence, and also to have some fun in the process!
