Sensory Bin to Engage my Students Senses

My Project

My students are inquisitive about the world around them and love to learn through hands-on materials, especially in our Sensory Table! The Sensory Table in our classroom is a great way to help improve every child's fine motor skills in my Kindergarten classroom. When a child has good fine motor skills, it helps the child in other areas of their education. Unfortunately, our Sensory Table broke and is beyond repair. We need a new one!

Sensory bins provide children with the opportunity to explore and learn through hands-on tactile play that engages their senses.

The development of fine motor muscles at a young age is important because, with strong development of these muscles, children will become better writers and develop dexterity and strength in their fingers!

Plus, playing with the Sensory Table is just plain FUN! With the addition of the Sensory Table, I can also use these materials for my students to be a letter, number, and word detectives based on their academic ability.
