Sensory Bin and Tools for Hands On Kindergarten Learning
Help me give my students a sensory bin table, kinetic sand, molding tools, and sensory water beads. Sensory bins provide children with the opportunity to explore and learn through hands-on tactile play that engages their senses.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are inquisitive young scholars that need sensory play activities. Sensory bins help with the development of their fine motor skills Through tactile play that focuses on building, pouring and mixing, my students will build on their ability to use their small muscle groups and coordinate movements.
Sensory bins support my students' cognitive growth and problem solving skills in my inclusive classroom.
Sensory bins will provide a learning opportunity to ask questions, think about how things work, do experiments and analyzing results which are all part of healthy cognitive growth. It’s how we learn something new and figure things out. It’s also how we problem solve.
