My Project

My class is filled with 3 and 4-year-olds, some of whom are brand new to a structured setting away from their families. Every year my students come to school with curiosity and eagerness to explore and. Creating a sensory area for my students will give them endless opportunities for discovery and tactile learning. Since my students are so young, they do not always know how to self-regulate, these items will assist them in regulating their bodies. These items will serve as tools for self-soothing and reducing anxiety, allowing students to better engage in learning activities and social interactions. These items will stimulate exploration and curiosity, supporting cognitive development and learning readiness. They encourage students to engage actively with their environment, promoting sensory integration and improving attention and focus.
