Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will benefit from the use of sensory items to help them regulate and stimulate their five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. These sensory items will help a child reach their overall speech and language and academic goals. They will guide students to become more alert, calm, and focused during sessions and throughout the school day. Fidgets, chewy tubes, bean bags, and weighted toys will help create an environment where students can relax and learn to self-regulate when necessary. Lollipops and tongue depressor will aid during speech and language sessions with oral motor exercises and articulation. By donating to our project, you will ultimately help students increase their ability to communicate and interact throughout the school day. Having sensory items and fidgets gives students the chance to have fun throughout the school day!
