My Students
I will be working with students that either is diagnosed with speech impairment or learning disabilities this year. My students are from age 5 to 7. The majority of them are English Language Learners who might not have attended full-time school before. They live in homes with non-English speaking parents or caretakers.
My students are of Asian descent with 99% of them receiving free or reduced school meals.
They are excited about learning and they come to school every day with hope, expectations, and enthusiasm. Your donation truly makes a difference. Thank you very much!
My Project
I am so happy to share this good news that I am getting a bigger and more space classroom for my students! My students are kindergarten and 1st grade with mild to moderate special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disorder and Speech and Language Impairment among other behavioral and sensory issues. All of my students require alternative learning tools and materials due to their special learning needs.
In this project, I am preparing a sensory / calming area for my students.
My students need a variety of sensory integration, hands-on materials and seating options to help them concentrate, learn and develop in and out of the classroom.
