This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi all! My students' sensory items need a little refresher this year. My students rely heavily on sensory items and fidgets to have a successful day in my classroom. That being said, the sensory items I have get used A LOT. Some of them have seen better days.

Sensory items help my students to regulate and calm if they are feeling frustrated, anxious, overstimulated, etc.

My students are so smart and have learned to advocate for themselves when they need something to help make their day more successful.

Fidgets help my students with ADHD keep their hands busy while they are focusing, weighted lap pads help ground students, and noise-canceling headphones help with students who are overstimulated by noises. These are just a few examples of how funding this project will positively impact my students.
