My Project

Every day my classroom fills with 24 wonderful kindergarten students. These students have many diverse needs, and backgrounds. They do however have in common that they all come to school eager to learn. I would like to provide more materials for my classroom that help students reading confidence.

This is a quote I fully support in my classroom of learners. I know that students are more engaged in their learning when they find it fun and fulfilling. This is why I would love to give my students more station options to work on their letters. Having the option for magnetic letter building, tactile letters, and building letters from materials activities will provide lots of options for a hands on approach. My students would also benefit from the alphabet and number review games, as this can also help them with many academic goals in a play based way. I know this can help make the learning more concrete in their minds if they are able to play and absorb the information they are learning in class. The different ways to produce letter stations would allow my students to problem solve and build while learning a major concept in kindergarten, their letter names and sounds.
