This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I can not contain my excitement for the upcoming school year! This is going to be my 7th year teaching and my second year teaching 4th grade! Its only June, but I am gearing up for the upcoming school year that I feel incredibly hopeful about.
I love a glitz and glam classroom just as most, but I really want to create a classroom where students see themselves and feel inspired to do all they set out to.
The materials in this project will help me decorate the classroom in a way that is culturally relevant, motivational, and inspiring. I teach in a Title 1 School where many of the students deal with real life issues at such a young age. School is a consistent safe haven, and I want to make sure my classroom reflects that.
There's something about walking into an inviting classroom on the first day of school that sets the tone for the entire year. I hope to be able to do just that with the help of your donations.
