This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This sensory table would be an amazing addition to our classroom. The sensory table we have now only fits 2 friends at it and it is falling apart. This sensory table would give more students the opportunity to enjoy exploring the materials together. The students in my class are each so unique in their own ways.
I teach in a classroom with eight typically developing peers and 7 children with autism.
The hope is the peers will be wonderful models for our friends on the spectrum and help them improve on their socialization, communication, and play skills. Having this sensory table will give the students opportunities to work together in a comfortable environment suited for all needs.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
