My Project

The idea of this project is to have more resources and sensory or tactile toys for my autistic children.

My goal this year is to create the perfect sensory room for all my children to have the tools they need to calm and regulate.

We do not have a rug for our circle time area, and I love the bright colors of the rainbow, it would be a great addition to our classroom. The light lamp and sensory toys would be used in the sensory room. I am trying to build. The other toys are just to encourage learning and independent activities.

My classroom is in a poverty ridden county in northern Wisconsin called Rusk County. I have been a teacher for 22 years and I’m just trying to provide the most I can for my students without having to spend all of my own money.
