This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing, unique, and require individualized learning. I am always looking for new engagement strategies to get the students excited to come to my classroom daily. Also, the students would benefit from me learning new activities that I can tailor directly to their needs. They are the best group of students I have ever taught. I am so proud of them and want them to be able to go far in life and go to college or get a good career.

My Project

This professional development may get translated in various ways in my classroom. Get Your Teach On provides ideas and resources to help not only with rigor but to keep student engagement. The overall learning outcome would be the students would make progress because they are so engaged and excited to be learning. Also, this conference will help me gain some more skills and ideas that I go back and try in my classroom. I had the oppurtunity to attend Get Your Teach On in January and I can truly say it changed my life. This professional development is amazing. I would be honored to go back and my students could potentially gain so much more.

I would use the knowledge learned to create engaging lesson plans filled with rigor.

In addition, this conference will ignite me with passion.
