My students are curious, creative, and full of wonder! They love to explore the world around them and are always eager to dive into a good book. Whether it’s through a thrilling science adventure or a silly story about a grumpy monkey, they find joy in learning every single day.
We are a diverse group of learners, and I strive to provide books that spark interest, reflect their unique personalities, and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
I am requesting a collection of engaging hardcover books that combine science and storytelling to support both literacy development and science understanding. The Science Comics series is perfect for curious minds, breaking down complex topics like the periodic table, electricity, rocks and minerals, and frogs into fun, easy-to-understand graphic novels.
These books will not only help students learn key science concepts, but they'll also boost reading comprehension and vocabulary in a format that’s incredibly engaging and accessible.
Additionally, books like I Spy Little Book and Grumpy Monkey offer important early literacy experiences, while A Waffle Lot of Narwhal and Jelly and Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior bring humor and adventure that hook even the most reluctant readers.
With your help, this project will put high-interest, high-quality books into the hands of students who are developing both their literacy skills and their love of learning. These books will be available for independent reading, small group instruction, and science exploration—encouraging curiosity, empathy, and academic growth.
Thank you for helping me build a classroom library where every student can find something to get excited about!
