My Project

Dear Potential Donors,

I hope this message finds you well and inspired to make a difference.

My name is Mrs. Lecomte, and I am a dedicated kindergarten teacher at a dual language program within the Rochester City School District, a community where a staggering 98% of our young learners live below the poverty line. Our mission is to provide a rich, bilingual education that not only nurtures academic skills but also celebrates cultural diversity.

Unfortunately, we face a significant challenge that hinders our ability to deliver on this promise: a dire shortage of educational resources in Spanish. The scarcity of these materials drastically limits our students’ opportunities to engage deeply with the curriculum in both their native and second languages. Moreover, the resources available are often more expensive, especially on platforms like Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) and Amazon, making it even more difficult for our program to access the materials we desperately need.

Today, I am reaching out to ask for your support in bridging this gap. Your contribution can help us purchase essential Spanish resources including books, educational games, and interactive materials that are vital for our students’ bilingual growth and academic success.
