This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach special education kindergarten. My students have ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, and hearing impairments. Communication is essential for developing and learning new skills, safety in the community, and making friends. Using the sensory tools and the ALS sign support books will enable my students to communicate with adults and peers.

These essential skills will continue to support all of my students as they continue to grow and get older.

Parents will be able to learn the skills to communicate with their nonverbal children. These skills will make our students successful in the future.
