This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an occupational therapist I help students find the tools they need to help regulate their bodies during the day and help them with their focus and attention during class. I have many students in both special education and general education.

These tools would help in that area as well as help me create a calming sensory zone where the students could take a break, center themselves, and then return for a productive day of learning.

Students often need help regulating their bodies, so we try to give them the tools they need to keep themselves in the zone of learning.
