Imagine working for weeks on a project, earning an excellent grade, and not being able to share your success with your peers. My students create beautiful projects, but the classroom does not have a place to display their work or post their grades.
The students in my sophomore classroom come from diverse backgrounds. Too many of them are low achievers who do not believe they can be successful in a high school English class. I know that is not true. I know they have the talent and skills and that they will amount to something and change the world. They just need a place to display their successes in the classroom.
That is why we need a bulletin board. We need a special place to display their work so we can celebrate their accomplishments in the classroom.
Your help will make it possible for my students to choose their best pieces of work and display in the classroom for their peers to admire. You will help them realize their potential.
