My Students
This coming school year, I will be working with a self-contained classroom where there are 12 students who need specialized instructions and attention. According to the classroom teachers from last year, each of them is unique in different ways. However, they are all hard-working and motivated. I look forward to meeting each of them this September.
My Project
A comfortable and anxiety-free classroom is crucial for students with special needs. They are more likely to fully engage in learning when they are physically and mentally comfortable in the classroom.
Comfortable seats and sensory toys play a significant role in learning in a self-contained classroom.
The soft seats are for students to sit in their chairs without losing focus on class. In addition, they can sit on the floor with soft seats during the circle time when they are able to participate in fun learning activities. Sensory toys support students with special needs calm down whenever they are emotional and help keep focus on tasks.
