My Project

Hey Y'all, Thank you for clicking on this project! My class and I just started the 22-23 school year. I am a special education Inclusion teacher for DCPS and joined the Teaching Peace Corps to help mitigate the education inequity crisis in the United States.

As an inclusion teacher, my job is to work with students to help prepare their bodies, minds, and souls to receive academic content that will help further their individual educational success.

I am fortunate enough to be teaching middle school students that look like me and have Individualized Education Programs, 504 Accommodations, and other needs due to a spectrum of internal and external variables.

Items on this list such as the chairs will provide the students the space to calm down in a comfortable seat. Items like soap and wipes help in dealing with PPE concerns. Lastly, students often cannot engage with the work on an intense level without eating. Eating for middle schoolers is essential because it is a time of growth and many of my students don't know if they will eat on a consistent basis outside of my classroom. You can help ease their stress and help keep our room safe and sanitized with whatever donation you can make.
