SEL Resources for My Super Students

Help me give my students a variety of items that will foster academic as well as social and emotional growth. These items will allow students to have activities and incentives that encourage a growth mindset and hard work.

My Project

My students have endured and overcame a pandemic over the last 2 years. They have had so many transitions and had to also learn from home as well as dealing with a multitude of schedule changes.

Now that we are back in school, students are able to be back with their teachers and peers in person.

These resources will foster and encourage students to succeed and grow in their academic skills as well as their social and emotional skills. My students love working together and creating things, which is what the open-ended materials such as building blocks and discs will allow. In return, students will practice social skills, life skills, a growth mindset we well as responsibility. The carts, shelving, drawers, and the zipper bags will enable students to store those materials and have easy access.

The inspirational stickers, spinning wheel, and rewards foster PBIS and promote positive behaviors in the classroom. Encouraging students to being hard working and kind to one one improves classroom community and relationships.

In my classroom, I also love displaying and celebrating my student’s hard work. Having celebrations on their published work and placing them on the wall is something my students always enjoy and cherish. The laminator, dry erase pockets, and strobe light are used to display those pieces of work and celebrate. This makes my students so excited to work hard on their work and to praise each other on a job well done.

I would like to use the bookshelves, magnets, and the wall outlets to help promote a calming atmosphere with books, anchor charts, growth mindset and inspirational posters, and lighting.

They need and deserve to have access to resources that will allow them to work on their SEL as well as motivate them to be kind and responsiblr.
