Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students need more mental health and social-emotional support now than ever. This SEL Lending Library will serve over 700 students in grades pre-k through 8. Mental health care is a communal effort and this library will help support the efforts of our school community.
The books can be checked out and utilized by their teachers for whole group SEL instruction as well as used to assist individual students who need additional SEL support through bibliotherapy.
Fidgets, timers, and coloring supplies are included to support students who need sensory breaks within their classrooms.
