This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school counselor, I see firsthand how vital it is to support the social and emotional well-being of our virtual students now more than ever. To start the upcoming school year strong, we’re creating SEL Goodie Bags filled with tools and resources designed to help our amazing students manage stress, build resilience, and feel seen, supported, and connected.

These thoughtfully curated bags will include items like fidgets to help reduce anxiety and improve focus, positive affirmation cards to boost self-confidence, and journals to encourage emotional expression and reflection.

Each item is chosen with care to provide students with tangible strategies for emotional regulation and self-care.

But these bags are more than just gifts, they're a meaningful bridge between school and student. They remind our learners that no matter where they are, they are not alone, and their well-being matters. And best of all, the tools inside can be used again and again, offering continued comfort and support throughout the year.
