This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Social Emotional Learning is beneficial to both children and adults, increasing self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors both in and out of the classroom. From an academic standpoint, students who participated in SEL programs saw an 11 percentile increase in their overall grades and better attendance.
Ninja books will help students learn to normalize and identify their emotions.
Books will be used in classrooms and wellness rooms to help student learn coping strategies with managing human emotions such as anger, disappointment hope, sadness, joy and happiness. Student will also engage in activities with ninja books.
