My Project
Starting as a new teacher, at a new school my classroom this year is within an elementary behavior unit. As I embark on this journey, I hope to provide them an engaging learning environment that meets their needs.
Knowing the disabilities my students have, I hope to create a space where they can feel safe and supported.
I hope to expand my options available for students; however, for now I am starting with a few things. I want to have sensory input tools for my students, and other resources to learn the skills needed for students to one day return to a less restrictive classroom environment.
The pillows, markers, books, and other items on this list will enable them to have the tools they need to learn self regulation skills and to develop their own knowledge of how their brains work.
