My Project

Hello everyone!

My name is Dalia Serrata and I am a 4th year second grade teacher in a Spanish Immersion school in Minnesota.

I have decided to ask for two different items from you all this year! Table lamps and Insta x film. I am looking to illuminate my classroom with some calmer lighting in order to have a calm and comfortable space for my students to feel at home in. We do a lot of independent and partner reading and LOVE “Flash Light Fridays” where we turn all the lights off and read in the dark with flashlights. I have found that it can be tricky for kids to hold a flashlight and a book at once so these lamps will hopefully help make this time more about enjoying a good book without having to go through “flashlight frustrations” as we call them

I also have added some Insta x Mini film to my list as I love to incorporate pictures of my students in my classroom! I also love capturing the many activities we do in our classroom and during our outdoor learning time to send memories home with students.
