I have 21 wonderful 1st scholars in my class this year. They are doing an amazing job working remotely 5 days per week.
They are a group of young children who are ready to be inspired.
They need encouragement and motivation to help them become the best learners they can possibly be, especially during this unprecedented time.
They all receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of them did not have the resources necessary to learn remotely in the spring, so they are trying to catch up to their classmates.
My Project
To successfully teach remotely from home, it’s important I have the proper equipment available to reach all my students. Having a second screen will allow me to see all my scholars on one screen while viewing my lesson plans on a second screen. This will streamline my teaching, as I will not need to toggle back and forth so much during live instruction with my students.
A second screen can improve online productivity by 20-30% (NYTimes).
During assessments, I will be able to score the children on one screen while viewing them on a second screen. This will make assessments easier for both myself and the student(s) I am working with!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
